India Express: Press Release
Press release to coincide with the release of India Express, Colin Todhunters follow up to his first book, Chasing Rainbows in Chennai (Press Release)

India Express is available from www.Lulu.com. It can also be downloaded from the site as an e-book for $2.

Colin Todhunter, born in Liverpool, England, is a freelance writer and the author of two books. His first book, "Chasing Rainbows in Chennai", is a collection of short stories and articles set in India, which was widely acclaimed by the South Indian media and reached No.3 in the Madras (Chennai) bestsellers list. The book propelled him into the limelight and in 2003 he was very much in demand, doing readings and interviews in South India, with features appearing on him in The Hindu, Seminar Journal, Eve's Touch Magazine, the New Indian Express, the New Sunday Express, the Economic Times, News Today and in various UK newspapers, including the Liverpool Daily Post. As a follow up to the book he wrote a series of articles for the Sunday edition of the leading South Indian newspaper - the New Indian Express. The articles form the basis of his second book, "India Express". Readers will experience fading memories of Rajasthan and Madras, chilly mornings in Allahabad, and teeming street-life in Calcutta and will embark upon a truly Indian journey with holy rivers, rickshaw rides, sleeper trains, banana leaf meals, pesky mosquitoes and ubiquitous chai-sellers. Some things will be criticised for what they are, and compared to how they could be, should be, or one day might be. Scepticism is tinged with idealism, sadness with laughter, and disillusionment with faith. But by the end of the book, any negatives will have been more than outweighed by a good helping of honesty, humour and hope. "Brings India to life" - Economic Times; "A writer's eye and a traveller's soul" - New Indian Express
